From his studio in The Whitsundays, Australia, John Twohill uniquely captures from a photograph the essence, personality and character of the subject and infuses it into a piece of art.
“IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAIL” is John’s motto.
John’s specialty is Hyperrealism and Photorealism utilising the mediums of charcoal, graphite, colour pencil and pastel.
From an interest in tech drawing at school, to a career in Motor Mechanics and doodling while on the phone, who would have thought a gift voucher for an art lesson for his 50th Birthday from friends would change his world and ignite his passion.
